During your stay you can easily explore all that Southend has to offer, including beautiful sandy or stony beaches, picturesque Old Leigh, filled with small boats, characteristic pubs and cockle sheds, or the many other family friendly attractions. On the seafront you will find Peter Pan's Playground, filled with rides and fairground attractions, whilst a little further up is mini-golf and the Sealife Centre. You may also choose to see what shows are on at the Cliffs Pavilion, which is just a short distance away.

The room is located at the very top of the building and enjoys stunning views out towards the pier, the cliffs and the estuary. This room has been lovingly restored to reflect the decor and style of the Georgian period. Cliff Top has its own private bathroom (with key) located across the landing (Not En-suite) No extra bed is available in this room. Please note that this room is accessed by steep stairs.
Double Room - Pier View (2+0)

Named after the Pier and property, the Pier View room (room 9) is located at the very top of the building and enjoys stunning views out towards the famous landmark, the cliffs and the estuary. The room also features its own small Georgian fire place and a king-size bed. No extra bed available in this room. Please note the room is located at the top of the property with steep stairs.
Double Room - Prince Regent (2+0)

This double en suite room has been lovingly restored and decorated to reflect the style of the Georgian period. The room has a desk and enjoys views out to the garden and seating area. The room is named after Prince Regent, the future George IV, who came to Southend in 1809 after deciding that the sea air would provide a healthier environment for his wife, Princess Caroline, as she had been advised to visit and bathe in the sea by her practitioner. No extra bed available in this room.
Double Room - Sir William Heygate (2+0)

This double en suite room has been lovingly restored and decorated to reflect the style of the Georgian period. The room also features its own small Georgian fire place. It is named after Sir William Heygate, the Lord Mayor of London during 1882-1883, who was chief promoter of the Pier and instrumental in securing the building of it. No extra bed available in this room.
Double/Twin Room - Lady Hamilton (2+0)

This spacious en suite room is on the ground floor at the front of the property, with views over Royal terrace, the pier and estuary. This elegant room features an original Georgian fireplace. This room is named after Lady Hamilton, the mistress of Lord Nelson, who stayed in Southend during 1803 and 1805. Please request a king-size bed or twin beds at the time of booking. This room is for a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child.
Double/Twin Room - Princess Caroline (2+0)

This beautifully refurbished room is decorated in relaxing shades of blue. The room is full of character and features its own original Georgian fire place. Set on the second floor at the front of the property, the room enjoys fantastic views of the pier, the estuary and the cliffs. This room is named after Princess Caroline, who stayed on Royal Terrace during her visit to Southend, after being advised to bathe in the sea by her practitioner. The room can be set up with 1 king-size double bed or 2 twin single beds. Please inform Pier View of your preference on the day of booking, using the comments field when making your reservation. Please note that extra beds are not available in this room.
Lord Nelson Suite - Family/Business Room (2+0)

The Lord Nelson Suite consists of one room with a large double bed and a separate sitting room, joined to the bedroom by a short hallway. The sitting room has a large sofa bed and a small kitchen unit with a microwave and the necessary plates and utensils. The bathroom includes a bath with hand shower. The room also includes 2 state-of-the-art LCD televisions (1 in each room), free Wi-Fi and a Playstation 2. Please note that although the suite is located in the basement it has natural daylight in both rooms. The sitting room also looks out onto a small pretty courtyard. The room is named after Lord Nelson who visited Southend, as did his mistress Emma Hamilton, in 1803 and again in 1805. No extra bed available in this room. Maximum 2 adults in this room (up to 2 children under 12 years can also stay).
Twin Room - The Retreat (2+0)

Located on the top floor at the back of the building, this twin room is perfect for those looking for a little peace and quiet. The Retreat has a large en suite bathroom with all the necessary facilities. No extra beds available. Please note the room is located on the top floor with steep stairs.

Please note there is no lift at Pier View. Rooms on the top floor: 'Cliff Top', 'Pier View' and 'The Retreat" are accessed by steep stairs.

When booking for 5 nights or more, different policies and additional costs will/may apply.

Stag parties, hen parties and other groups are not accepted.

Please confirm if extra beds are required prior to arrival as not all rooms can accommodate extra beds.

Any persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a person of 21 years or over.
